• 2 tablespoons of liquid Castille soap
  • 2 teaspoons of borax
  • hot water (up to the height of the container)

Spray this mixture in the oven. Leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, then rub with a nylon scouring pads.

The ingredients are natural, but remember to use gloves to avoid irritation.


While the oven is still hot, pour a little water and salt on the stain to be removed. Once the oven is cold, scrape the stain with a wooden utensil or a nylon scouring pad.

Washing soda is excellent to cut through grime & old oil found in ovens. For very soiled ovens, make a paste of washing soda and vinegar. Apply all over. Leave for 30 minutes. Scrub with a scouring pad and wipe clean with warm water.
