Plaster

Note:

Pure plaster has no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), but most plaster types of products are modified for various uses and you need to test each one especially if you have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities.
Rapid 30, 60 and 90 plasters are usually the most VOC-free. They cure in 30, 60 or 90 minutes to a hard unworkable rough surface. Do not use as drywall compound hoping to get a smooth finish. Use the harder plasters to fill in deep holes or wide cracks, stopping below the surface and finishing with the more workable drywall joint compound as soon as the deeper material is hard.
Plaster of Paris is equally hard but cures by drying slowly — can be used to smooth over surfaces.
