There is now a wide variety of locally produced natural soaps. They are made from animal or vegetable fats and are healthy for children’s skin.

You too can create your own natural soap. You will need 5 ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup of coconut oil
  • 2/3 cup of olive oil
  • 2/3 cup of other vegetable oil (almond, grapeseed, sunflower, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup of lye (100% sodium hydroxide)
  • 3/4 cup of cool distilled water
